Synopsis:

Kanika has just barely entered adulthood when her world is thrown upside down. Her school is magically cut off from the rest of society, and she’s risking expulsion.
She entangles herself in an immoral and erotic sexual awakening with the half-demon administrator in exchange for her continued education, but her life will never be the same.
Devastated by the fact that she callously threw away her virginity to a powerful man she’s just met, she’s easily seduced by her charismatic and tender linguistics professor, Cyril Thackeray.
When she learns that she can’t judge a person by their appearance, and is left uncertain as to whom is lying to her, she spirals deeper into depravity and promiscuity, embarking upon a dangerous exploration of her new sexual desires.
A paranormal fantasy novel for new adults, Unleashed is a powerful and unflinching novel that will leave your morality in tatters

Hot & Steamy!!

Talk about edge of your seat chemistry, Unleahsed seriously had me fan myself off at multiple points while reading it! I did have a few reservations going into this book about how good the story and plot would be if main character is throwing her virginity away willy-nilly, but thankfully the author made it believable and sincere.

The school that Kani goes to is magical, mysterious and has some fantastic characters that attend there. One that particularly stands out is Sage. At first I wanted to strangle him, because he was under my skin, but there was a specific instance that made him slightly more loveable.....maybe it's all his naughtiness, or that sexual charisma, or both!

Yes, there is a lot of sexual content in this book, but you could tell that the underlying message was more about finding yourself regardless of the path that you take. There are times you have to find yourself, and I feel like Kani was actually able to do that by the end of the book.
If you're looking for something new, full of adventure & has that adult edge, I would absolutely have to recommend Unleashed!

{Blog Tour: Review + Giveaway} The Future Without Hope - By Nazarea Andrews

Author: Nazarea Andrews
 Release Date: 11/20/2014
Purchase Info: B&N ~ Amazon
The highly anticipated third book in The World Without End series. Separated from Finn, captive of the Order, Nurrin has no hope left. But she has survived twenty years of zombies--and she has the unshakable faith that Finn will find her.

But Finn is a long way away. The Order's influence runs deeper than was ever suspected, and politics are shifting--and zombies may not be the most dangerous thing she's facing.

Finn always thought the war stripped him of all he had to lose. But with Nurrin missing and doors closing in his face, he realizes there is always more for the world to take--and he will drag the remains of civilization down with him before he gives up on the only promise that matters.

Nurrin for the #WIN!!

Absolutely, freaking, FANTASTIC! Again I am blown away by Nazarea, her ability to captivate me and leave me with my mouth hanging WIDE open!

After the major cliff hanger in book #2 I was chomping at the bit to dive into book #3, I wanted answers, blood, death and passion. Thank god, I was not disappointed. The Order needed to pay for taking Ren, infecting her brother, and sperating Finn from the only thing that kept him living. I loved how Finn, in his usual kick-ass way, made The Order realize that he was not messing around and wouldn't stop until this girl was found. He is so ruthless, and it's not that he's just a blood thristy killer, he holds very little close to him while guarding his emotions tightly. So when you F#$@ with what he holds onto, you've just crossed a line.  *swoon*

With Ren being held up in a train car, realizing her world is about to be shattered, you'd expect an emotional break down....but she gives you the opposite. Fierce, confident, go "F#$& yourself" attitude! I am in love with her fire, spirit, determination and all around badass-ness. Though she's being held captive by The Order in some super secret bunker with dozens of other Firsts, she has 1 mission on her mind...her brother. Some might see that as a weakness, but it truly gives her the upper hand with these psyhcos! One of my favorite parts of this book was when she broke a huge social taboo and bit one of her guards in spite. HAHAHA, it was a perfect "You don't want to play nice, I'll show you!".

With the first third of this book running by pretty fast, I enjoyed the change of pace after the breech. The plan that Omar had was so methodical, thought out and just a tad bit crazy. It allowed us to take in everything that had just happened while hearing about his plan. Does it kind of draw a line between Ren & Finn....maybe, but it sure adds one hell of a plot twist!  (Though I still think it's a suicide mission...but that's just me)

Run, buy this seris...get caught up & prepare yourself! You'll need to grab some tissues, your throwing stars & a couple of shots, because this book is going to be one hell of a ride!

Exclusive Excerpt:

I go to the Underground. It’s deserted this early, but I know some of the acolytes will be there, and a few priests. It’s a gamble, but it’s what I have.
I could go to Omar. It would take very little to reach out to the High Priest, and I know him—he might be loyal to the Order, but he’ll do whatever he can to destabilize the Red Priestess. Even helping me steal back a sacrifice.
But that would mean trusting him. And I’m not ready for that. Not yet.
So I go to the vice clubs.
The doors are locked. I bang once, and wait impatiently until two acolytes pry open the door. “The clubs are closed until sunset,” the one in green robes lisps.
“I’m not here for the vice clubs,” I say. “I need to see the High Priest of the Haven.”
They exchange a quick look, and then the Red shakes her head. She’s familiar—the same acolyte who attended me when I fought. The sweet hospitality in her eyes from the previous night is gone now, replaced with a cool reserve that borders on hostility. She isn’t a woman impressed right now. She’s a fledgling priestess protecting the Order. And that makes me smile, slow and amused.
“He isn’t here.”
“Tell him that Finn O’Malley needs to see him. He has two hours to meet me at the house on the edge of the wall and return what he took from me. If I don’t have her by then, I will start killing his priests—and I won’t stop until every member of the Order in 1 is dead.” I pause, and stare at them. Their eyes are wide, fear mixing with anger and shock.
They don’t believe me. And because of that, they won’t deliver the message. I lean in and murmur into the space between them. “If you think I wouldn’t do it—I want you to know, I fought for Kelsey Buchman in the war. There is nothing I wouldn’t do. And if she isn’t there, in two hours, yours will be the first blood I spill.”

Love & Hate!

Just shoot me now....as I sit here writing this review I am at odds with myself as to how I feel. There were aspects of Mirror X that had me instantly falling in love with this book......then there were situations with Cassie, the main character, that had me shaking my kindle as though it were an Etch-A-Sketch! Like maybe it'll rewrite that last line if I shake it hard enough, but unfortunately it didn't.

Now I'm not saying this book was bad in any way, I just had issues with the main characters thought process. Truthfully for someone who has just awaken from a very deep cryogenic freeze after apparently being brain dead for a thousand years, I'd have just a few more questions and would wonder what kind of drugs they snuck me if I was falling instantly in love with my doctor.

Speaking of doctors, Bennett...yeah I am not a fan. I'm team #AntiBennett...whatever you want to call it. I feel as though Bennett will do nothing but use Cassie as a mule, and for his own gain. It breaks my heart (insert sad face).

Though overall I have to say there were a lot of aspects and points that made this read truly intriguing for me. Like how the earth got to where it was, I wanted to know more history about it all. About patient zero, and how the "regionals" originated. I know it touched on it, but I love a lot of really good back history in my stories. (so maybe in book 2??) It really struck me as interesting to see the types of leaders we had over seeing everything, this is yet another area I'd love to see some more history about.

All in all, I would definitely pick up book #2 to see where they story takes our little miss "Hope For The Future". She needs a good story, and a great path to take her there.

He craves her full submission, but in order to do that, he must take everything away from her first.

Dark, Erotic Paranormal Romance with BDSM Elements…

The Darkest Faerie Tales

There are two sides of me. One is good. The other is bad. Sure, everyone has bad and good in them, but my two halves are constantly at war with each other—I’m either extremely virtuous or terribly wicked—there is no in between.

In ancient Gaelic myth, the gods and goddesses were sent to earth, becoming known as the Tuatha Dé, God’s tribe in the form of a supernatural race. For centuries, as immortals, they ruled on the earth above humans. Then the Great Atonement happened. As people of the mound, they were stripped of the Tuatha Dé title and turned into Aos sí. They became nothing more than magickal human beings who happened to live a little longer than normal mortals.

The Aos sí are divided into two sects…Seelie or Unseelie. Dualities of light and dark instilled at birth. Though they lived in a semblance of peace, everything changed right before I was born and the factions turned against one another.

I’m half Seelie and half Unseelie, the only mixed breed ever to exist. My parents went to great lengths to hide my true identity during the wars.

I was supposed to live a normal life, the whole white picket fence and everything, but it’s all changing now. The Unseelies seek to take down the Seelies and restore themselves into power, back to the way things were on the magickal island of Sitnalta, before the Great Atonement. However, the Seelies only want to pursue balance, harmony, in all things.

And me? I’m stuck in the middle, torn between two worlds.

This is not a faerie tale.

Riley Bancroft grew up in the heart of Texas. Ever since she was little she favored stories on the darker side, not just supernatural, but psychological as well. She penned her first erotic poems in college about the love of her life. The pursuit of her writing career began when she wrote a short story based on the intimate scene missing in Twilight, to share with her friends. They encouraged her to write her own novel. And so, she did.

{Waiting On Wednesday} The Mackenzie Duncan Box Set - By Adrianne James **WIN A NOOK**

Title: The Mackenzie Duncan Box Set
Author: Adrianne James
Genre: New Adult, Paranormal Romance

Mackenzie Duncan's whole life is ripped from her by the teeth of a strange wolf with yellow-green eyes. Learning quickly that she now lived by the moon cycles was hard enough, but finding her heart torn between two hot Werewolves amidst the blood and violence her new life brought was almost too much to handle. When her new pack's secrets came to light, Mackenzie's conscious wouldn't let her stay quiet. Follow along the amazing journey as Mackenzie fights for what her heart wants and what her kind needs.

____________________________________________________________

The Tempering, book #1

The Mythology department at prestigious Harvard University is tiny—and Mackenzie Duncan has just been selected as one of the lucky few. Her love for myths and legends is strong, but she never thought any of it could be real.

After being attacked by a large wolf while walking home alone, Mackenzie realizes something is not right. She heals quickly, is suddenly super strong, and is experiencing mood swings that can't possibly be normal. The myths she's studying aren't myths at all. Werewolves are real and she's one of them. Fear of what she is, and who she might hurt sends Mackenzie running from the life she’s worked hard to build–and straight into the arms of a handsome Were named Geoff and into the home of his pack. Living with her new pack takes the edge off her confusion and self-loathing, but the arrival of new pack members changes the dynamic, and tests Geoff and Mackenzie’s growing relationship.

The hardest part of being a werewolf is having no control and no memory of her time as a blood thirsty beast. When a moon cycle passes and she actually remembers bits and pieces of the night, she starts to ask questions, and the more questions she asks, the more she realizes she doesn't like the answers. Can she set aside her own sense of morals to belong to a pack that is like a family or will she leave everything behind yet again in search of a life she can be proud of?

Mackenzie Duncan found out that pack life wasn’t for her. Now she is running for the second time in the six months since she was bitten and turned into a Werewolf. But this time, she isn’t alone. This time, she has Geoff and Liam with her, two very hot Werewolves vying for her heart.

But her companions aren't her focus. The only thing she can focus on is getting far from her old pack and their murderous ways. Only, she doesn’t just want to run. She wants to warn every pack she can that their lives are in danger too. No one should be turned against their will like she was and no other pack should have to surrender to the ideas of a centuries old, power hungry woman.

Not only does Mackenzie have to deal with her crazy ex-pack leader sending people out to kill her, she has to keep both men at arm’s length (and that proves to be much more difficult than she thought), but she finds out more about her own life and heritage than she ever thought imaginable.

And suddenly, everything makes sense...

The Uprising, book #3

Ever since Mackenzie Duncan watched her skin knit together after being ripped apart by a blood thirsty Werewolf, her life has been anything but normal. After being part of a pack with more secrets than the FBI, Mackenzie left and tried not to look back. Her old pack leader Margaret, a Royal wolf hungry to regain the throne and rule over all the world’s Werewolves, made that impossible. Figuring out who to trust was full of heart break, but moving forward left her with a clear path ahead.

After Mackenzie found out that she, too, is part of the Royal blood line and that she had inadvertently endangered every pack she came into contact with, she feels that it is her duty to help stop Margaret at all costs before any more blood is shed or another life is lost.

Despite traveling the world with Liam, the man she loves, her life is in danger at every turn in her hunt for other Werewolves willing to stand against Margaret. Who better to fight then the blood line that shunned the role of power centuries ago?

Bloody battles surround her at every turn and when Mackenzie thinks all is lost, she has to find a way to embrace her past and accept her future.
